For reasons I can't recall, I read the sequel to this ages ago, but didn't get around to the original. Charming. I love the art, and I love the idea of a singing cat (I've had a siamese who sang), and I like the idea of opera as something that people still do. Library copy.
Those of us who do not otherwise care about opera were enchanted. We'll have to get the original soon.
