I don't know if it was because I had longed to go back to reading or what, but I LOVED this book! It wasn't as mysterious as the first one, but what it lacked in suspense, it had in all the small details that make a great book. The second installment of the Department Q series brings us together onc...

Original title: Fasandræberne I'd like to make a note about the covers of the English edition, they really don't look like detective covers to me. If I saw this in a bookshop, I'd probably think it was a novel... I’ve read the first book in the Q-series years ago, but somehow there never seeme...

After reading the third book in Q department series and loving it, I read the first book in series and liked it, so, of course, I read the second book as well. And it left me somewhat disappointed. There are two things going on in this part: there is 20 years old crime to solve; and young secret...

Semmel (Translator) I really enjoyed the first in this series, The Keeper of Lost Causes (Department Q Series #1) - Jussi Adler-Olsen, and this one was a bit of a let down. There was a snarky sense of humor in the first book that ...

Although, I loved the first book by Jussi Adler Olsen, this one never hooked me in. I found the characters to be flat and the book was slightly predictable or it had a storyline that I felt was a "dime a dozen" read.

Via http://onlectus.blogspot.com/2012/08/summary-on-goodreads.htmlThis is the second book by Jussi Adler-Olsen that I read. I guess I am nowa fan :-)I liked this one almost as much as I liked The keeper of loss causes (by Adler-Olsen as well). Why almost? Well, I understand that not two books are al...

Translated by K E SemmelDedicated to the three Graces and iron ladies: Anne, Lene and Charlotte.Opening: When she ventured down the pedestrian street called Strøget, she was poised as if on the edge of a knife. Why did I read it? Because it an unproofed copy was offered to me in exchange for a review and I really enjoyed The Keeper of Lost Causes by the same author, but in audio format. What's it about? Comprised of some of the elite of Danish society, a pack of hunters are seeking the ultimate adrenaline ...
