The season of gift-giving is here, and this year we've got something special for our members: Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Yuletide whodunit "The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle". In this holiday-themed short story, Sherlock Holmes and his trusty sidekick, Dr. Watson, follow the trail of a lost hat and a Christmas goose through the streets of London and into a rapidly expanding mystery. And, since a great story calls for a great voice, we’ve brought in Emmy Award nominee Alan Cumming (TV's The Good Wife), a past Audie Award winner for Best Male Narrator and one of our very favorite narrators. We enjoyed it, and we hope you will too. Happy listening and happy holidays!Public Domain (P)2012 Audible, Inc.

Cute short Holmes mystery. Because it was so short, you really didn't get a chance to fall into the story like Doyle's longer works.
This is only the second Sherlock Holmes story I've read - well, second official ACD Sherlock story, as I've read other peoples' stories with or about Holmes and whatnot. And I enjoyed it, in some ways more than the first one, but still I felt like this little story was lacking, or unfinished in some...
Holmes and Watson always a favorite. Narrated by Alan Cummings!
When a priceless gem is found inside the body of a Christmas goose, it’s up to the great detective Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson to determine who stole it and how it ended up there. He was left in possession of the field of battle, and also of the spoils of victory in the shape of this battered hat ...
Fun story from Conan Doyle, even if it is a soft-pitch in terms of deductive excellence. Pretty good performance by Alan Cumming. I never thought of this as a classic Christmas story, but it is now on the list. Thanks to Audible for releasing this free to members.
