An intriguing historical romance with a good plot and interesting blend of now and then but sometimes the story would stall with too many details on an insignificant event such as a luncheon. French spy Justine is stabbed and drags herself to the nearby the home of Hawk an old lover.

This was a qualified 3-star read for me. The format was not at all what I was expecting, and I found that extremely disappointing at first. I very much wanted to stay in the here and now with these characters; I found the current mystery far more interesting, and was disappointed every time we got t...

I LOVED this book. Every bit of it, I adored. The characters were fantastic. I was a bit worried, as this is book 4 (I think) of a series that I hadn't read any of the other books in and yet I wasn't lost. In fact, I'm going back to read the other three books because what I read was so satisfying....
