I went into this memoir thinking it would be a modern day version of Jennifer Worth's The Midwife. I was sorely mistaken. The memoir of a hippy-turned-midwife and nurse. I'd hoped for more info about running a gynocology clinic and less about the personal lives of her family, friends, and patients. Regardless, it's a well-written snippet of life.

An absorbing memoir to which any woman can relate. Reassuring, poignant and at times compelling, the lives of women reflected through these stories evoke the everyday struggles women experience.
