I am hard cringing at how much I disliked this book. I feel bad for it, I feel like it tried really hard and all I can keep saying is that it needs to do better. There are continuity problems galore, the fact that even though the years are passing (it's been at least 3-4 years since the last book) t...

First time reading this author. Unlike other people because I'm reading book 22 and not 1-21, I liked it because I have nothing else to compare it to. The mystery was engrossing, the characters were likable or not likable according to their history. The ending was riveting. I thought at the time the...

Like the other Michael Connelly books I've read, a reasonable page-turner, not much character development; three-star literary value and an extra star for entertainment value. I'm not a big mystery fan but of the author's I've read, my favorite is Ian Rankin.

Bosch is on his last year and is working on a case that the victim just died after 10 years. The autopsy found the bullet that lead to a break in the case. And that's just the start of it. The new partner is not really that forward with sharing information. She is secretly working on another ...

Published on the 3rd of November 2014. Publishing editors come and go. They move to different companies, they take over several different lines. Some who run SF and Crime Fiction lists know nothing about SF or Crime Fiction and care even less, but they usually move on editing other kinds of book. ...

In this latest Bosch novel, Harry Bosch entered his final year at the LAPD Open-Unsolved Unit as part of his Deferred Retirement Option Plan. He plans to do it right ... and probably become a good mentor to his new partner, a rookie detective, Lucia Soto. They catch a case that started almost a deca...

I wish the Harry Bosch series would never end. It's my favorite crime series and the quality has stayed consistently good for 19 books now.

Detective Harry Bosch catches a case with an odd twist in this 19th instalment to the series. Ten years ago, Orlando Merced took a bullet to the spine that rendered him paraplegic. Yesterday, he died. Now it's not just a cold case, it's homicide. Harry is currently in the last year of his DROP contr...
