I'm going to give this 5 stars, despite the fact that Hopkinson uses terms like "necking" in a book published in 2012 and supposedly set in the modern day, because the stuff she comes up with is so bonkers and surreal and horrifying that it makes up for it.
I'm very interested to see how this novel will play to the young adult set. I thought it hit some things absolutely perfectly, but I'm 20 years years from my young adultness, and I know that.
