The chocolate aspect of this story made it interesting enough to finish, barely. It described in detail every person, place or thing. Sometimes there was only about ten lines of dialog in an entire chapter. I skimmed most of the book. Chocolatier Dominique is intrigued by customer Jaime who stops by...
The first two books in this series were a real joy. So when I heard that book 4 was the fan favourite, I decided to skip on over to it. Honestly? It was okay. If I hadn't read books one and two, I would have liked it a lot more. But those were so lovely, so sumptuous, with wonderfully written charac...
Chocolate Touch…Oh, make me stop grinning. This beats Thief, Kiss, and even Rose because Dominque and Jaime are such sweet hearts. Even the play on words and the play on her name and what he was hearing still has me grinning. She gives him her name, “Jaime” and he asks something like “What do you lo...
Dominique Richard's reputation says it all—wild past, wilder flavors, black leather and smoldering heat. Jaime Corey is hardly the first woman to be drawn to all that dark, delicious danger. Sitting in Dom's opulent chocolaterie in Paris day after day, she lets his decadent creations restore her wea...
I loved all three books in these series (I have not read novellas yet, only novels), but this one just may become my absolute favorite. The first and this book have some common characters, the female lead in this one is a younger sister of Cade, heroine in "The Chocolate Thief" but you can read this...
When I requested this book on Netgalley, I didn't realize that it was part of a series of companion books. (Of course, it says so right here on Goodreads. Duh.) While I don't think it's necessary to have read prior books in the series, it would have given me more background on some of the secondary...
The Chocolate Touch by Laura FlorandI wanted to read this book first for the chocolate. That this is also a love storyset in Paris just makes it that so much more enticing.Dominicique Richard is a chocolatier and finds the woman who visits the shop daily very fascinating. He finally meets her and th...
Dominique Richard worked in an abattoir in his early teens, but is now one of the chief chocolatiers in Paris. His chocolate, like his reputation, is darker and his flavour combinations are much more unorthodox and edgier than those of his rivals. Yet for all that Dominique is known for his volatile...
These books are just so engrossing and charming, I was giggling and sniffling my way through this entire book. Dom and Jaime were just so fragile and loveable, I finished their story in one sitting.
I loved this one so much! Laura Florand is by far my favorite contemporary romance author, and this is her best so far. I loved Dom and Jolie, and the way their relationship unfolded. Lovely, lovely stuff.
