3.5. Some of the stories are better/more memorable than others, but overall this is a nice collection of short stories by some great authors.
I’ve always enjoyed Van Allsburg’s picture books. They have some amazing artwork. The stories are a bit quirky but enjoyable. I knew I needed to read this book as soon as I heard about it. The Mysteries of Harris Burdick has some really interesting art, title, and captions. It would be pretty awesom...

In fact, I'm a little disappointed that this anthology actually happened, as the enjoyment in The Mysteries of Harris Burdick ...
Odd and delightful.
Like all story collections, some pieces are fabulous and others instantly forgettable. What is particularly interesting is to see how these well-known authors interpret an image and single line. This collection will hopefully continue to prompt readers to create their own interpretations.
