Intriguing plot, very interesting history, but rather vanilla characters. I do like how Berry presented the idea that Christopher Columbus could have been jewish, and that's what really drove this book. The current day people in this book just kind of rode along the plot as decorations. Berry has do...

UG... this was a hard book for me to read because I was expecting sooo much more. Why? Because when read the back, I was expecting a ton more involvement from Billet. I thought they were going to bring in a new agent with Brian Jamison but then he's killed in the first 100 pages... It was just weird...

Interesting twist to Christopher Columbus and a neat little thriller.

Berry does a good job with his research, and building the back story, and his addendum adds a very interesting dimension to the story. That said, there are elements of each of the major characters that seem more than improbable, so just two stars.

The Columbus Affair looked pretty interesting when it popped up on my library's audiobook website. I have never read anything my the author so I figured I would give it a shot. I was so bored that by the middle of the second disc, I couldn't take it anymore. I felt like I was in history class. T...

When he was at the top of his game, Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Tom Sagan could do no wrong. One story, based on scrupulously falsified information ended his career and with pistol in hand was about to end his life. On the verge of pulling the trigger his estranged daughter re-enters his lif...

As typical of his books, well written and researched. None of the usual cast of characters in this one. The historical foundation of this book doesn't interest me very much so it made it hard to stay with it at some points.

Steve Berry weaves a tale around the sketchy facts of Christopher Columbus' life. The story stretches from the cathedrals and synagogs of Europe to the caves of Jamaica and explores the Jewish history across those lands.All-in-all a pretty average book. It combines a historical mystery with just a t...

Why yes, I will drop everything I am doing to read a new book by Steve Berry and that is exactly what I did when the publisher sent me a finished copy of his latest novel The Columbus Affair, in stores on May 15, 2012. Let me clear something up right from the start. The Columbus Affair is not part...

Five stars? Absolutely. This book was amazing and without a doubt one of the best books I've read in a very long time. I have never read a book by Steve Berry prior to this one and I am thrilled I won this one through the GoodReads First Reads giveaways. I will definitely be purchasing more books by...
