The Complete Father Brown Mysteries includes 24 stories featuring G. K. Chesterton’s eponymous Roman Catholic sleuth. These mysteries are the original source material for the current hit BBC TV show Father Brown starring Mark Williams.
Chesterton’s priest-sleuth was loosely based on Father John O'Connor, a parish priest in Bradford, who was involved in Chesterton's conversion to Catholicism in 1922. By bringing murder and mayhem into the genteel setting of a village parish, Chesterton pioneered the ‘cozy’ mystery genre which Agatha Christie and others would further develop in subsequent decades.
This new digital edition of The Complete Father Brown Mysteries includes an image gallery and links to free audio recordings of all 24 mysteries.

While I thought some of the solutions were problematic, as in "The Invisible Man", and I was put off by the ...
Women don't quite exist for G.K. Chesterton. I'm was puzzled that so many of the villians suicided. It seemed very cruel of Chesterton to deny his villains any forgiveness at all.
The Arrow of Heaven - A trip to New York leads to a murky trail of blackmail and murder. Andrew Sachs stars as GK Chesterton's clerical sleuth.
the stories in here are generally short little mysteries, but they are fun and witty. Do not expect to read an Agatha Christie-style or Sherlock Holmes-type mystery here. These are short stories, more in the style of Poe's "The Purloined Letter".Good night-table reading to settle your mind before ...
