An okay children's read, from an adult's standpoint. I'd love to teach it to my English class one day, though. It would make an excellent material for tackling all the important social issues a middle school student should be able to handle.

It took a while to get into, but I found myself enjoying it. It finished so that I don't have to read the next book if I don't want to, and right now I don't feel the need. I liked the ending as it was. :)
