This was an excellent short read that depressed the hell out of me and I don't think I could ever read it again. Highly recommended.
I saw where this one was going. But I don't know if I could say it was predictable, because it went where I wanted it to go and where I would have went with it. This is an interesting short story showing the desperation of a heroin addict and possibly either a bit of madness or evil that seeps into his veins as he attempts to slake his addiction at his most desperate moment. I guess we'll find out which in Matthews' upcoming novel.4 STARS
