Ok, io mi aspettavo GRAAAAAAAANDI cose da questo scrittore ne avevo letto tante recensioni in suo onore.. E invece, che sonno!!!! O.O Non mi ha convinto nulla: l'ambientazione, i "fatti misteriosi" di cui si parla nella trama, i personaggi (da picchiare tutti quanti, mamma che antipatia!!), la trama...
Clive Barker's debut novel, very much in his distinctive style. A gripping story but suffered from being over long and a tendency to revert to more visceral forms of horror. Several hollywood horror style chase scenes that may appeal to some but are not really what I'm looking for. Too often as well...
Not finished yet, but if anyone sees me reading this and decides to give it a shot, I would like to say to you: PLEASE, give it until page 200 or so. PLEASE. The book starts off slooooow.
