I've tried twice, and I just can't seem to get into this one, despite the bookworm hero. I'd love to read the back story about Delilah's father, but sadly I don't think it actually exists.
My reviews are mostly my thoughts as I went with the book...Delilah's father 'Devil' Desmond, the notorious libertine, just wrote his memoir and gives it to the scholarly Jack for editing. Jack is just his polar opposite, books are his world. Delilah is her father's daughter, at least in her spirit....
This one didn't work at all for me. Never could see what attracted Jack to Delilah. Devil was supposed to be a rake with a scandalous history but was simply portrayed as a devoted and loving father and husband with a great sense of humour. Hence the plot, based around the publication of Devil's scan...
