I didn't like this one as much as her earlier books. I did like some of the (sassy and smart) comments Emma and Jaime made. It did pick up towards the end.

Wasn't hating it, but wasn't seeing any compelling reason to keep reading it either. And the repetitiousness of the language was a bit much... everyone and everything was so young and tender, it was like reading an ad for chicken.
Did not finish. Just couldn't get into this one. Didn't particularly like the heroine or the hero (I got to about page 100) and the plot was completely ridiculous. I can't enjoy a book if all I'm thinking about is the implausibility of the setting, the plot and the characters' behaviour.

I just couldn't get into this book. The plot has been done before and it was so heavy with description. I started skimming all but dialog then gave up after 100 pages. Emmaline is about to marry when Jamie bursts into abbey on his horse and steals her away.
