Hissing Cousins by Marc Peyser and Timothy Dwyer: I picked up this double biography of Eleanor & Alice Roosevelt because, I mean, look at that tile! How could I not? It turned out to be (as far as I could judge) a well-researched and well-written look at the complex intertwining lives of these two c...

Meh. It didn't turn out as badly as I thought it would. It has a great emotional pull, but the whole situation is really pathetic and there's not a whole lot of action. And the main character is really dumb and only cares about how girls look, not to mention their band sucks. Anyways. 2.5 stars.

The general story itself was alright, and I liked some of the side characters even if they were one-dimensional at times. But Colby's belief that he was utterly entitled to know everything about Bev was highly irritating, as well as how he kept passive-aggressively shaming her about lying to him in ...

Rating: 3.5 StarsIt is difficult for me to fathom now, looking back, that I considered abandoning this novel many times during its first quarter. The Disenchantments starts out as a dull book, which hardly seems possible as it begins with a group of friends setting on a road trip to make music, but ...

Due to copy and paste, formatting has been lost.I've been wanting to read The Disenchantments for a while before I picked it up. I hadn't heard much hype (always a good thing), so I was super excited to read it and form my own opinions on it. So I opened it. And I ended up loving it to death.I was i...

This book is so honest it almost hurts. Didn't like it as much as her other book, [b:Hold Still|6373717|Hold Still|Nina LaCour|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1270305052s/6373717.jpg|6561348], but still just as beautiful, just as breaking, and just as real. And that's about it, because if there's one th...

4 Stars. Because 3 stars doesn't quite fit. And 5 stars isn't really what I had in mind. So. If you're looking for an enthusiastic review, you won't find one below. And if you're looking for a negative review, it won't be here either. It's just neutral. Of my thought process~I took so long on this b...

4.5/5i found myself doing something i’d not done in the longest time while reading a book. i normally just zip through these then throw out the points that’s left an impact on me. usually, i come away with what i liked and didn’t like (an isa meets so and so plus highlights, if you will.) but this o...

At last I finished reading this one. God. I put this on hold several months ago and only find time now to finish it. It was literally a dragging read for me and I was really not expecting it to be that, (I guess book covers and good titles can be very deceiving at times). I was just not really imme...
