The Diviners by Libba BrayThe Diviners was well written and I appreciated the aesthetic of the roaring '20s. On the other hand, damn anyone for taking bible verses out of context!! UGH! It makes me want to gag! I mean the world is full of crazies just like the Brethren in the Pillar of Fire Church.A...

Hey Dolls and how are you?! I hope you are all Jake! I am doing pretty Jake myself. I would have gotten this review up a long time ago, but one laziness set in. And just when I was ready to put this one up. There was an unexpected death in my family and it has been a very hard week last week for us ...

3,5 stars! This book is called The Diviners, but weirdly enought, although you do know who they are, they don't really do anything and they never get together! They keep being the separated entities they were before the start of the book. I feel like this was just an introductory chapter to the re...

Brilliant roaring 20s supernatural thriller - and actually, legit-horror scary to boot. The period slang comes off a bit strong at the start, but is well researched and consistent enough to be enjoyable once you get past the first shock of it. Great read.

This book was such a good October read, it's creepy paranormal read set in the 1920's. The beginning of this book had a don't read at night spooky warning, and I just rolled my eyes, but then I got to the end and totally had to turn on all the lights. lol. Anyway I really love the time periods and c...

Libba Bray knocked it out of the park with The Diviners! It had it all- mystery, fantasy, historical fiction and the supernatural with a whole bunch of quirky and unique characters. The story was truly fantastic in itself but the audiobook really took it to another level! The narrator, January LaVoy...

It's like The Great Gatsby meets City of Bones meets that movie Seven, that is to say I freaking loved it! The characters were deliciously complicated and Libba Bray fearlessly took on so many social issues of the time. It was scary, it scared me, I had to read something else at night even though I ...

Libba Bray’s The Diviners is a brilliantly awesome historical paranormal! It is creepy and well-written with very strong imagery. This epic tale was very well-researched and included snippets of all of Bray’s efforts. I loved the characters! My favorites were Evie, Theta, Memphis, Sam and Jericho....
