This ghost story freaked me out REALLY BADLY as a child.

I first read this book when I was 8 or 9 years old, and re-read it again and again until I graduated from elementary school. I remember, that when I was that young, this book totally rocked... however, I don't know how it would appeal to an adult who never read it growing up.
