The sequel to The Raven Boys turned out to be just as fascinating as this first book in the series. In this story the reader is introduced to an amazing idea that I won't go into here, since it would be a bit of a spoiler. This series started slow, but I'm more and more impressed by the way Stiefvater weaves in character development with an intricate plot. Incredible to handle such a large (and continuously growing!) cast with such maturity. Not a quick or particularly easy read, but well worth the effort.

Well. The Dream Thieves was a lot of things. It was magical. It was slow at times. It was exciting at others. And most of all, it was wholly unexpected. I grew to like Ronan in this one. Sure, he's wild and reckless and impulsive. But deep down he's quite lovable. Blue, as always, is amazing. She'...
