This won the Pulitzer for drama in 1971. I don't think it deserved the distinction. The most interesting thing about it was the foreword added in 1996 in which the author explains how the play was somewhat autobiographical.
We performed this my senior year in high school. I played the old woman. I'm sure it was an amazing performance, second only to the role played by Flash the Wonderbunny, and the three human leads.I don't remember much else, but sometimes I'm likely to bust out "I hate the world, Mathilda."
