This book was very interesting to me. There was many plot twists and turns. This book made me want more and that is why I gave it four stars. I understand how she ended this book since there are more books to the series. I will be reading the second book in the series to find out what happens.

*Read the full review at Witchmag's Boekenplank* Well… At times it was difficult to continue reading this book. I put it down repeatedly, because someone irritated me to no end: Gemma. She’s not the kind of protagonist I like to read about. It’s easy to sum up what she went through in the story: b...

Maybe more like 3.5 starsThe beginning dragged for me but picked up halfway through. Overall, I found it an enjoyable read and will most likely read the second in the series.

Good story, pulled me right in. I'm frustrated with Alex's lies of omission and utter blind faith in his father. Isn't 20 a little old to have such daddy can do no wrong devotion? Shouldn't you be thinking on your own now? Especially when you're part of a secret order with huge responsibilities! Gee...
