*tears*I started the first book in this series in January, and determined to read through them all by the end of the year. (Could have read them all in a much shorter time, of course, but I wanted to draw it out, and make the experience last as long as possible. But, now its over, and I'm not ready....
A disappointment only because O'Brian died before he could finish it.Of interest, beyond speculating about where he was taking the story, is the manuscript that occupies the facing page in this volume. Here we get a glimpse of O'Brian's train of thought as he wrote and how he went about creating.
