Can't figure out why the story was named "The Fire King" but whatevs. This was the first story featuring an amputee that didn't bother me into DNFing it.But I still don't know how I feel about it beyond the fact that I quite liked the story by the time I got to the end.And boom goes the dynamite.

Well... other than the distraction of the empty security sleeve, it turns out pretty good. We run into "Robert" again and, central to this particular story, find out what happens when shifters of divergent species mate. The H, as it turns out, is a chimera - the result of such a mating. Huh. I ...

I haven't read a Dirk & Steele novel for quite awhile and was happy to find this one. I think this was the best one yet. Liu is an excellent writer and I find her characters interesting, believable, and easy to connect with.

I enjoyed this book. I originally got it because I wanted to try out checking out ebooks from my library through Overdrive. They don't have a huge selection of paranormal ebooks, but this one looked interesting so I tried it. And I'm glad I did, because I'm not sure it's an author I would have gotte...

Now there are now sleeping gods waking? What more types of creatures will come out in this world? It's still a really well written book. This was interesting and I'm more puzzled about this different forces. I kind of want to read more yet I'm beginning to find the all powerful beings a bit much...
