I read this a LOOONG time ago, and really liked it. MZB had an uncanny knack for bringing out the women's roles that history has forgotten.

Interesting retelling of the fall of Troy and the Kassandra story. It was a nice quick read for summer.

Loved this book. Nice escape in to fiction-meets-fantasy/mythology/history. There is so much beauty described from such every day activities that just the writing alone captured my interest. Historically, let's not kid ourselves as this is fiction. If you want to know more, research the internet...

having hated the mists of avalon i was not pleased when i had to read this revisionist crap set in the trojan war. basically it's the mists of avalon in greece. bullshit. you like historical fiction? read mary renault. :)
