There was an understandable amount of fanfare around the release of 'The Gathering Storm'. Jordan's death in 2007 left many fans wondering if they would ever see the end of the beloved series. The announcement that Brandon Sanderson would finish the series was a relief - though I had never heard of ...

This book suffered a bit from Wheel of Time fatigue. I've been making a go of essentially reading the whole series straight through, with a few non-fiction books thrown in to break up the monotony. Starting this book, I had little motivation to read it. The story was well told and Brandon Sanderson ...

...but nothing can save something that's rotten at its core. Sanderson is the better writer of the two, but I don't know by how much. According to the interview in the beginning he adjusted his writing style to correlate better with Jordan's, which—honestly—made me want to run away screaming.

I started the Wheel of Time series nearly 20 years ago, enjoyed most books until about book 7 or 8—when the already slow moving series seemed to slow to a snail’s pace. All of the characters are less childish and prone to squabbling. Overall, Sanderson did...

Okay, asking Brandon Sanderson to complete this series was a *brilliant* idea. He has breathed new life into the Wheel of Time! The pace picks up dramatically in this one, and I know it’s heading toward the end, so that’s bound to happen anyway. FOr a while there I was mostly interested in the Egwen...

This twelfth volume of The Wheel of Time is one of the most famous of recent times. Simply because it was, at the time it was promised, expected to be the final volume of the (then) ongoing series. It was also the first volume written by Brandon Sanderson (then known simply for [b:Mistborn: The Fina...

Sanderson Picks Up Jordan's Place to keep the Wheel Turning The Last Battle looms as seen in the shape of a "gathering storm." The twelfth installment of Robert Jordan's epic The Wheel of Time series marked not only the beginning of Act Three, but of Brandon Sanderson's involvement to help finish ...

2012I read my other review of this book and found it interesting, I really liked Rand before, now, eh, he is so dark and, I guess just not the guy for me this time around. I am more of a Perrin gal.No more thinking of that other review. What did I think here...? Some things happened that I had total...
