A sad and heart-wrenching story. I enjoyed this book; so much so that I didn't want it to end. It was well written but too short for the heaviness of the story. I had so many questions by the end of the book. With more character/story development I would have loved this book even more. Read more

Being of a mixed heritage myself, I was really looking forward to reading this book. But I really couldn't get into the book, couldn't get into the story and I didn't feel a connection to any of the characters. It just wasn't for me.
