So i probably should have written this last night when i finished reading but it was like 1am and i was tired. I will try my best to recall all my feelings. So there's a good reason why I am rating this book 4 stars instead of 5. To begin with, the start of this book was fairly slow compared to th...

I was REALLY disappointed with the ending to this trilogy! My husband and I read this together before bed every night and most of the time the pacing and action were so incredibly slow and lacking that I begged him to let me skim until something/anything at all would take place. Alas, it was not to ...

The high Lord was definitely the best book in The Black Magician trilogy. It had more depth, more action, and more romance. I might have given this 5 stars if what happens at the end wouldn't have happened. Akkarin's death. WHY!!! Killing off the most interesting character in the trilogy and the ma...

Read the full review here.A wonderful climax to a spellbinding trilogy, The High Lord lived up to all my expectations. It is a great culmination of Sonea’s adventures as the only slum dweller to be accepted into the ranks of the Magician’s Guild. Canavan’s storytelling is brilliant and makes it easy...
