The way I (probably mistakenly) see it, the answer 42 represents a view of cheery perfection. It's almost as though it is trying to be as divisible as possible simply to be helpful. Even its name is annoyingly perky. It is the number which represents what the established order (notably religion) has...

In the 1970s, a BBC radio serial was a surprise hit with a combination of humor and science fiction, eventually this spawned more radio serials, a TV show, even a Hollywood produced film, but also a series of books by creator Douglas Adams. The Ultimate Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy contains the...

While he was busy uselessly defending his house, another demolition crew showed up to clear the w...

I love this series of books for its caustic wit and silliness. Not only that, but there's plenty of very British things such as tea drinking and the skill of making the perfect sandwich plus some great ideas (such as how it's possible to fly).

If you look at the rating details for this book, there's a little note that informs me that 96% of this book's readers enjoyed it. So yay, I'm in the hateful minority again.I don't get why people love this book, I really don't. Everyone has their own tastes and I respect that, but most books that I ...

This is a Classic. Douglas Adams was a genius. I still find it hard to believe he died so young. SO glad to get it in Ebook format.
