Presented in a special gift box, this pack also includes a copy of John Howe's colour map of Wilderland, a booklet about the writing of "The Hobbit", six postcards featuring Tolkien's own paintings, a CD of extracts read by Tolkien, and photographs of the "Lord of the Rings" movie.

Features Thror’s Map and the Map of Wilderland on integral pages, together with the eight standard black and white illustrations.

This limited edition collector's box included a copy of the book, a CD recording of Tolkien reading Riddles in the Dark', eight postcards and The Map of Tolkien's The Hobbit.

* ISBN 0261102001 is recorded on the verso of the title page of the book. This would seem to be an error, because the same number was used for the 1991 Hardback Edition of The Hobbit.

4.5 Ebook version

Thankfully, when Jackson released the Hobbit movies, this kindle version was on sale for under $2. I figured why not. I don't usually double buy unless y...

Smaug certainly looked fast asleep, when Bilbo peeped once more from the entrance. He was just about to step out ...

4.0 The Hobbit
I find it hard to believe there are people who have no clue what the book is about. Still the possibility exists so I will give the high points of the plot. See there once was a hobbit (a race entirely created by Tolkien and endlessly recycled since under name halflings - for copyright reasons) name...
