After spending so much time in online book communities and getting recommendations from people I trust, I almost never take a risk on a book I know nothing about. But it's good to step out of your comfort zone once in a while, and how risky can a book be that's been labeled "British Fantasy Award Wi...

Again, on my phone. Wooo slow days at work! I found The House of Small Shadows to be a really beautiful story. I adored Catherine and really related to a lot of her emotional struggles. There were some points when I had to stop reading because her emotional pain was far too similar to my own. Nevi...

✪ 1 Star Rating ✪I absolutely hate not finishing books, I really do, so I persevered with this one right to the end (mostly with the hope that it'll get better) but unfortunately I really didn't enjoy this. A very engaging story with some really great visions but I definitively prefer the previous two books. I keep going back to those and read them over and over again whereas this one will be left for quite a while before I pick it up again. Nevertheless, I wasn't disappointed.
