ah, elementary school reading.
I read this years ago and it has long remained one of my favorite children's books. Imaginative and insightful, it provides a lesson without being preachy.
I just reread this to refresh my memory of it before adding it to my classroom library.It's always fascinating to go back and read books as an adult that I'd enjoyed as a child and see how different they are.
