Overall, I bit weird, a bit different though engrossing. The strategic part was with way too much emphasis. Nothing new here. But the West African setting makes 'The Informationist' a better thriller/adventure read. Also, the protagonist's back story is, if not believable, interesting. This is the first book in the "Vanessa “Michael” Munroe series and I will read another one".
