Maybe 4 1/2 stars? Frequently hilarious, could be tightened up a bit, particularly in the Holy Land section.

I gave up on the audiobook about 3/4 in. The narrator's voice has an annoying combination of atonal hoarseness and nasalness that never stopped bothering me. A Book Addict's Musings by Readinghearts
Mark Twain is one of my favorite authors, and this is one of my favorite Twain books. I love his sarcastic humor as much as I love his view into the lives of another time.
