A Scottish-Canadian Blethering On About Books
I enjoyed this, as I have enjoyed the other No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency books I have read - it is slight, and the detective element is minimal to nonexistent, but the non-threatening foreignness of both characters and landscape (some of which rings bells with my two years in Africa as a child) ar...

After reading the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency a couple of years ago, I accumulated a few of these, and went through 6 in less than a month. In this entry the detective agency gets some competition from a male detective. Probably even less mystery plot than the previous books but a pleasant audio listen read by Lisette Lecat.

If you’re a hard-core mystery lover, who needs cliffhangers, twisty plots, danger and intrigue, conundrums that make you scratch your head and practically impossible to get out of situations, then don’t bother reading this book. You can read my full review here. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2014/10/1...

I'm tempted to move to Botswana after reading this series; the author has made me fall in love with this country and her people.
