Ever since the gods of Ancient Egypt were unleashed in the modern world, Carter Kane and his sister, Sandie, have been in trouble. As descendants of the House of Life, the Kanes have some powers at their comand; but the devious gods haven't given them much time to master their skills at Brooklyn House, which has become a training ground for young magicians. And now their most threatening enemy yet is rising. If they don't prevent him from breaking free in a few days' time, the world will come to an end. In other words, it's a typical week for the Kane Family. To have any chance of battling the forces of Chaos, the Kanes must revive the sun god, Ra. But that would be a feat more difficult than any magician has ever accomplished. First they have to search the world for the three sections of the Book of Ra; then they have to learn how to chant its spells. Besides, now they must discover where Ra is.

This book was another fun middle grade book. I'm excited to finish up the series. The Egypt section of history was one of my favo...

Hi, I'm back! I'm now going to review The Throne of Fire, the second book in The Kane Chronicles by Rick Riordan. Apophis is rising and Ra seems to be the only one who can stop him. Carter and Sadie Kane go to find Ra. Carter was awesome. I like that he tries to find Zia, the real Zia. I ship...
Fabulous. Riordan tells an amazing story and he keeps the pace up from start to finish. You never really want to put the book down until you're done.
