I just gotta warn you, I'm gonna sound super pissed off in this review. But I didn't dislike this book! I was just extremely disappointed, and was so caught off guard by it that it made me annoyed. First of all, the romance between Walt and Sadie. (And Carter and Zia, but I'll discuss that in a mi...

Following the events of The Red Pyramid a new threat is rising. Sadie, Carter, and the other members of Brooklyn House race against the clock to keep Chaos from rising. This book was another fun middle grade book. I'm excited to finish up the series. The Egypt section of history was one of my favo...

Fabulous. Riordan tells an amazing story and he keeps the pace up from start to finish. You never really want to put the book down until you're done.

The Kane Chronicles don't need much of a review. They aren't going to go down in literary history, but all three were fun to read. There are mysteries to solve, good guys to cheer for, bad guys to beat, and plenty of drama along the way.I'd say 5th graders and up would enjoy the series the most. ...

3.5 starsThe Throne of Fire is certainly better than its predecessor novel. However it still lacks a little element to take it up to the same level as the Percy Jackson series and the Heroes of Olympus series. Each of those series have slightly more interesting worlds, characters and, to be honest, ...

I do like this series and I've been having a blast listening to them with my 8 year old son. I liked the first book better but he liked this one better. So there you go.
