It was an interesting take on the whole vampirism thing. However, the religious element was kind of random. Something else also bothered me about this, but it's been a few days, so I no longer remember what.
An interesting read, and remarkably sweet given the subject material. I liked both the characters, liked that they obviously will have a somewhat bumpy road but will be happy and never stop appreciating that happiness.
