Gerritsen deftly weaves ancient archeology and whodunnit in a slightly off-medical thriller that manages to keep the tension and the guessing going until the very end. The supporting characters are solidly credible and go along well with recurring characters from previous Gerritsen novels, and manag...
Housewife Blues and Chihuahua Stories
I love mystery crime thrillers but am sorry to say struggled with reading this story until finally hooked about 3 chapters from the end. Not to say it was a hard story to follow just not one that captured me totally from beginning to end.

I enjoyed the book. It had an interesting background story of archaeology and it kept me hooked to the end. It is written in a very easy to read style with just the right amount of description mixed with plenty of action. I was glad it didn't get too bogged down in forensic or police procedural deta...

I this is probably my least favorite book in the series so far. That's not to say it isn't good, it's definitely a solide novel. And the twists and turns kept me guessing. But the subject matter, with the archaeolgy and all that just wasn't my cup of tea. All in all it was a decent read.

Audiobook. I liked this one so much better than the last one. I have to admit that Tess has a pretty twisted imagination lol. It was a very interesting story though. Definitely planning to continue the series.

With modern scanning techniques it can be studied without causing any damage to the specimen. However, when a modern day bullet is found in the leg of the mummy, with no explana...

This one kept me reading until the wee hours of the morning, even though I had to wake up early!I liked this one better than the last one in the series, but to be honest, I kept thinking of Lily in the last one and not Medea or Josephine, because both of the characters kept looking over their should...

This book was good enough to warrant reading (listening to) additional books by the author. It was enjoyable, with quite a few twists and turns all the way to the end. Even though I noticed that it is the 7th book in a series, I was able to understand the relationships and get into the story, much...
