As is often the case when I bother writing anything in the review section: my only complaint is waiting for the publication of Soulbroken. How will any of the fans survive?! :) This one was good enough to make me wage a campaign championing this book to my reading averse father.

See more of my reviews sooner on The YA Kitten!I've held off on composing this review for days because even thinking about this book makes me start frothing at the mouth. Between nothing happening until the last thirty pages, too many things being explained with BECAUSE REASONS, a awful, ham-fisted ...

This is now officially the worst cliffhanger I have ever weird because of how massive it was.

Tried to get into it, but the style at the beginning is not really appealing to me. It feels very over-explained. I'm going to have to try again later when I have more time. Also, can I just say that whoever designed the cover made some rather unfortunate choices. If they'd ever handled chain mai...

In Tril, there are Barrons who fight the war against the evil Graplar King and Healers who heal the Barrons. Kaya was born a Healer, but she wants to fight. At the Shadow Academy, it's against protocol for Healers to be trained to fight. So Kaya learns in secret, but there are barriers. Like the Bar...

I have read all of Heather Brewer's books and really enjoyed them all. When I found out she had a new series called Legacy of Tril I was elated. I had to get my hands on Soulbound and really was excited to read it. Soulbound is a very different book than all of Heather's other books. Soulbound is a ...

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the what's inside lived up to my expectations - Soulbound is a great adventure featuring a wonderful heroine and a tight plot line. The protagonist, Kaya, is absolutely aweso...

Think I added this to my wishlist before I knew what it was about. I'm not much for traditional/high/epic fantasy. Still, I gave this a crack.Soulbound is an easy read, a page-turner, but my word it gets on one's nerves. We meet the two potential love-interests early. Kaya Oshiro is Bound to Trayton...

I loved Brewer's Vladimir Tod series, so I was really excited to pick up this book (even though I hadn't cared much for her foray into the Slayer chronicles). I pre-ordered my copy and couldn't wait to clear some time in my reading list to devour it. Imagine my chagrin when it left me wanting. There...

This book was KICK-BUTT! It had me at the Cover and never let me down after that. I am a sucker for a book with lots of action, romance and a few hot guys! My only problem with it was that it wasn't long enough! I felt it was a little lacking with details of Trayton (awesome name b.t.w.)and Kaya's...
