Oh my oh my oh my.........Harry, what a man! I have tried to stay away from Elizabeth Hoyt's books because many of her heroins are widows. I am not much for widows. But since Lady Georgina in The Leopard Prince is no widow, I thought I'd give it a try. And man am I in love with Mr. Harry Pye! (@Ms. ...
Lady Georgina Maitland is eight and twenty and the idea of marriage horrifies her. She is outspoken and isn’t ruled by the social expectations of her time. Her aunt left her a great amount of land with the stipulation that no man may step in and take responsibility for it. George takes in interest i...
3.5 starsThis was the historical that got me out of my historical slump. I loved, loved, loved the premise. Aristocratic lady falls in love with a servant. Georgina is a riot. It was refreshing to read about a strong-willed completely independent lady. I also liked the addition of the external conf...
This book lost half a star because the ridiculous ending but overall it was very good. The entire premise can be very cliché and the plot with the dead sheep can be silly but I enjoyed Georgina and Harry's interaction and relationship development. They had a very tender romance and while Georgina we...
The steward and the aristocratic lady. An unlikely match. But again great dialogues. An okay plot. Two great main characters, a good set of amusing and entertaining side characters (I loved Georgina's brothers). A very good read, though the Raven Prince is still my favourite in this series.
The premise was delicious: the lady is rather horrified to discover that she's got the feelz for the land steward, who in turn realizes that his employer's flighty aristo ways are just an affectation. Then the villain turned absurd, and the hero never let the lady speak her mind or try to solve con...
I really enjoyed the beginning of this novel. The female lead was great. The enemy was pretty scary, and there was some mystery. Harry was a bit lackluster. I'd have preferred to see a more forceful characterization. I liked his London friends.
Almost, almost, almost 4 stars.I really liked the story, but not as much as "The Raven Prince". Loved the fact that Harry was just a normal guy, not extremely handsome or perfect in his looks (it seems to be a trade mark in this trilogy...none of the leading men has a perfect look and I just just lo...
My Rating: 3.0 The Leopard Prince is the first book I've read written by Elizabeth Hoyt, and I have to say, I'll be reading her books a lot more from now on. I hardly read any historical romances, but Elizabeth Hoyt's books just captured my attention and made me squeal with excitement. Her books are...
