Among the stories in this enjoyable early collection are "The Girl on the Train," "Jane in Search of a Job," and "Philomel Cottage," which was made into the film Love from a Stranger.

Well, it's Christie, but unfortunately not at her best. I was looking forward to intricate plots and an abundance of red herrings but this collection of short stories just didn't come up with any memorable stories or twists.
I don't remember a thing about this book. Short stories, none of them remarkable but enough to keep me reading to the end.
