Delightful book about a repugnant sub-culture. Upon reflection, 3.5 stars.

James Joyce still lives on. This book was not fun to read even though it had a GREAT title. Books are supposed to be enjoyable. I'm not going to read books for some other pretentious reason.

Ghoul Interrupted is another solid addition to a great series. M.J. continues to be tough AND smart (a rare combination in many modern fantasy novels) Heath continues to be sweet and dreamy and Gil continues to be a complete and utter wuss (all the while injecting hilarity). And finally, after sen...

Astonishing original writer. Who would ever think that I would feel immense sympathy for a polygamous man and his four wives. Wonderful story of an immensely dysfunctional family that had me gripped to the end. It would have been a five except that it could have been that bit shorter.

I really enjoyed reading it. Even though a lot of the material was very heavy, it also had plenty of laugh out loud funny parts. I really didn't want it to end.

OMG is this a great read.
Titles are so hard to come up with...
I found myself chuckling throughout most of the book! It was full of so many unexpected little twists and turns that I was never sure exactly where things were going...totally fun. The chewing gum incident just about killed me.

I've read books about polygamy before - both fiction and nonfiction - and I continue to find it a fascinating subject. Brady Udall's novel The Lonely Polygamist takes a perspective on polygamy that I haven't encountered before, though; that of the husband to multiple wives. And in a family with thr...
