After wandering medieval England in an attempt to escape his memories of war, former soldier Tom Weston settles on Sir Andrew’s estate in a peaceful vale, where he works as a groom. A visit from one of the royal princes, however, shatters his sanctuary. Prince Ian seems determined to lure Tom out of the stable and into the bedroom, but however tempting Tom finds Ian, he has no intention of rolling over on royal command. Unexpectedly, the two become friends. At last Tom decides he might want more after all—but he isn’t the only one haunted by the war.

While the story itself was quite nice – this was another case where I thought it would be better if the story was longer. I wanted to know more about the background of former soldier Tom Weston and Prince Ian, who both fought in a war (What war? With whom?). I would like to understand deeper about b...
This wasn't a bad read, but it could have used a bit more plot and character building
