For all this time the USA did not go past 30 degrees or 175 degrees latitude. Until...The aero-submarine, "Coldwater" in command of Lieutenant Jefferson Turck is blown past the 30 in a raging storm. For a 100-year-old story, it has held up remarkedly. Parts of the story are very predictable, and the ending seemed abrupt, but it was a great read. I would pit this story against any modern sci-fi or dystopian story, and expect it would rank pretty well. I enjoyed Beyond Thirty aka The Lost Contine...
