Believe it or not, once upon a time, the Anita Blake novels were something I looked at to learn pacing and how to build a plot. That would go to hell in Book 10, but we're still early here. Lunatic Cafe is probably my favorite so far. Anita's snark was a little better. I loved the love triangle we now have going between Anita, Jean Claude and Richard. I love this series, my 2nd time around - 1st review though. There is so much going on, very exciting and the end really delivers. I love that we see more of Jean Claude and his woo'ing and the drama that follows him.

This wasn't too bad. This was my first Anita Blake novel, and the orgy-fest hasn't started yet. I am enjoying the love triangle so far. I enjoyed the mythological aspects of it. I don't really have any complaints, so far. The writing is decent enough. I am not sure how I feel about Anita. I kinda li...

2nd time re-reading this - this time by audiobook. I also have the paperback. We're finally introduced to Jason. I'm a little tired of the reasons she won't have sex with Richard. Not because she wants to wait until marriage by following the Bible, but because some jerk broke up with her when his ...
