I'm reading the series because my sister really wanted me to. Honestly, it was closer to 3.5 stars, especially towards the end, but I didn't feel like rounding up. It's not bad, just nothing special, although I've been informed it gets a lot better. I hope that's true! My main issue with it was that...
Originally read many, many years ago, as are most of the rest for the series. We all know and love the Harry Potter series, and for many of us it was the series that began our love of reading. Harry Potter was definitely the series that originally made me love reading, drifting off into fantasy-land ...
This book was a fun read. While I couldnt put it down, it...had it's faults. "The Merchant of Death" focused on a 14 year old boy named Bobby Pendragon. The novel follows his journey upon finding out he is a "Traveler" or a person who can travel to different territories, aka alternative dimensions. ...
I first read this series back in the eighth grade–two of my friends were pretty addicted to it, and I convinced one of them to lend me all his books (a decision I still regret, because to this day, I still don’t own one of them, and it’s infuriating when I try to reread them–should have just bought ...
I have to admit, this whole story was pretty good. This was highly recommended to me by a friend and YES I TRUST THAT FRIEND AND HER OPINIONS VERY MUCH. YEAH DALENA I'M TALKING ABOUT YOU LOL. Yes, I was totally satisfied. Dalena here said that this book wasn't as good as the other books in this seri...
I think what I love most about this series is the different worlds. Every book, there's a completely new setting to lose yourself in, complete with a new cast of characters. But of course, sometimes the best ones from previous novels come along for the ride.
The Pendragon series is extremely popular at my middle school, but I’ve never read any of them for myself. So, this graphic novel is my first introduction to the series. Bobby Pendragon is a “traveler,” but he doesn’t know it. His Uncle Press picks him up the day he is on the way to a big basketba...
I'm a total sucker for quest books. There's nothing more that I enjoy than traveling to a far off land with the 'chosen' one to fight bad guys and save the world. It's a simple idea but I keep finding myself drawn to these type of books. Merchant of Death is no different.I found it a bit hard to g...
I really enjoyed this. The idea was pretty imaginative and (aside from some things that were rather cliche) original. At first I really didn't like Bobby, but he really grew on me (and grew as a character in general). Near the middle and the end, things really got catching and everything was very...
