I find this book tremendous fun for several reasons. First, it features Peters' detective Jacqueline Kirby--She of the Purse. While she's perhaps not as brilliant a creation as her Amelia Peabody, I'm very fond of this not so mild-mannered librarian amateur detective. But then this book also caters...

Fairly average, predictable and try hard 'English Country House' mystery with a quirky American librarian as the sleuth. Woohoooo, I'm finished! That was actually a pretty good mystery. Totally did not figure out who dunnit.

A classic British house party mystery about a bunch of Ricardians! By Elizabeth Peters! How could I possibly resist? Lovely, though Daughter of Time remains my favorite Richard anything ever. [Nov. 2011]

Since I recently started reading Amelia Peabody series of this author, I figured I try something else and see if I like it just as much.I did, very entertaining and I think nice introduction for those who are not very familiar with Richard III controversy too, as I am.
