by Michael Connelly
I read this for "Murder Most Foul": The Narrows by Michael Connelly which is part of a murder mystery series (Harry Bosch). A FBI agent named Rachel Walling is trying to track down a serial killer called The Poet. She ends up joining forces with LAPD detective Harry Bosch. I'm going to suggest ...
BLUF: Ties up The Poet (Jack McEvoy Book #1)The Narrows follows detective Hieronymus Bosch as he tries to uncover the truth about his late friend’s heart attack. His late friend, Terry, is a sea charter captain who, in his spare time, helps other agencies solve cases pro bono. In order to solve Terr...
"All they did was trade one monster for another. Instead of a dragon they now have a snake. A giant snake that sleeps in the narrows and bides its time until the moment is right and it can open its jaws and swallow someone down." ~~Moved from GR: only 2 left...~~ The Narrows (Harry Bosch #10) ...
It just doesn't work when you dilute Bosch with weaker characters. At least McCaleb's gone. Good riddance.
After a break from Harry Bosch, it was good to get back to see what he was up to. And it didn't take long for Harry to get back into the life of the most sly character seen in awhile, The Poet.I think it was GR friend Harry who said reading the The Poet was a must before reading The Narrows and it ...
Harry Bosch meets up with various other characters from Connelly's previous works in this book. Much more of a thriller and not my favorite in the series. Listened to the audio which was read by Len Cariou who did a great job with the first person Harry but was not quite as successful with some of...
There just wasn't enough action in this book for me to rate it any higher. I can honestly say I have never read a book I didn't like by Michael Connelly but I also haven't read one yet that I felt was good enough for 5 stars. The Harry Bosch books are always a fun, quick read.
A thrilling, superbly crafted follow up to "The Poet". Case Closed!
Waited for the poet to return. A great read and Connelly keeps his characters from other books involved.
