I have to agree with (some) other reviewers about this book...I actually enjoyed the movie more. Noah and Allie in the movie had a very passionate chemistry, and an almost palpable connection that was somehow absent in the book...And I’m also one of those who prefer the movie’s ending to the book. A...

Another Nicholas Sparks tear-jerker. This felt like two completely different novels - one narrating the teenage meeting of Noah and Allie, and how they were separated by time and space until they met again fourteen years later. What an amazing story!!! I'm so glad that I almost entirely forgot about the film (which I have seen some years ago) so the book hasn't been spoilered for me ;)

I know I should have read this earlier, but I'm glad I've read it now. The story is simply tells us that Love conquers all. Even at times of grief and loss. It's one heart-wrenching story and I must say that the movie was better.

Another case of both 'liked the movie more than the book' and 'great idea but poor execution'. A shame, because I really wanted to like this book. Maybe romance novels just aren't my thing.

This book proves two things. 1) Not all sappy, badly written love stories are to be found on the romance aisle. 2) Whatever V.S. Naipaul may think, a man can write like a teenage girl posting to Fan Fiction Net. Sparks actually says of his heroine Allie that she has "eyes like ocean waves" and she a...
